Antalya Airport to Alanya Transfer Time: Stop by Stop

Transfer time from Antalya Airport to Alanya by private vehicle is usually 2 to 2.5 hours. The distance is about 125–135 km, and the road mostly follows the D400 highway along the coast. The time varies slightly depending on which neighbourhood of Alanya you are staying in, the season and the traffic.

Below I describe the route stop by stop, from the airport to your hotel entrance. That way you will know in advance the answer to "where are we now, how many minutes are left?" The times given are approximate; traffic and weather affect the actual time.

Leaving Antalya Airport: The first 30–45 minutes

The first part of the journey is spent not on the road but in the terminal. Passport control and the baggage reclaim can take half an hour or more if a busy flight has just landed. This waiting time is not included in the transfer time, but it affects the overall plan.

In a private transfer, the driver takes you directly to your hotel without joining the shuttle bus queue or stopping at other hotels. From Antalya Airport to Alanya Vip Transfer works this way. Be sure to check the meeting point details in your booking confirmation.

Aksu, Serik and Belek: How long does it take from the airport to Belek?

Once you leave the airport, you head east along the D400. Belek is about 35 km from the airport, and without traffic you arrive in 35–45 minutes. So if you are staying in Belek, the journey is about a third of the length of the one to Alanya.

For those heading to Alanya, this section is the most comfortable part of the route. The road is wide and settlement density is still low. At the end of summer and at the start of the season, there may be congestion at the Belek exits.

Side and Manavgat: Half the journey is done here

About 1 hour 10 minutes to 1 hour 20 minutes after leaving the airport, you reach the Side and Manavgat area. If you are staying in Side, the vehicle leaves the main road here. For those continuing to Alanya, this is the point where a little more than half the route is behind you.

Traffic may slow down when passing through central Manavgat and around the bridge; you will notice this more in summer afternoons. If you are travelling at this time, allow an extra half hour. Roads are generally more comfortable in late October and November than in the summer months, but it is still worth checking on weekends and public holidays.

Kızılot, Okurcalar and Avsallar: The last 40 minutes

After Manavgat, the road passes Kızılot, Okurcalar and Avsallar. The sea appears on the left and the Taurus Mountains on the right. About 40–50 minutes remain to the centre of Alanya.

If you are staying in Avsallar, Konaklı or Mahmutlar, you will find the journey shorter. These neighbourhoods come before central Alanya. The Cikcilli, Oba and Kestel area lies slightly beyond the centre and adds 10–20 minutes.

Arriving in Alanya: Total time to the hotel entrance

All together, the road time from the airport exit to your hotel entrance in Alanya can be summarised as follows:

The time is the same on the return journey. If you are going from Alanya to the airport, aim to be at the airport at least 3 hours before your flight and add the road time to that. From Alanya to Antalya Airport VIP Transfer is a private transfer designed for exactly this direction.

Gazipaşa-Alanya Airport: A shorter option

If you have a flight to a nearby airport, you can reach Alanya from Gazipaşa-Alanya Airport in about 1 hour. Check flight options and schedules before setting out, as these change with the season. For a passenger flying into Antalya, this option may not always be possible.

For a private transfer from Gazipaşa to your hotel, there is Gazipaşa Airport: Private VIP Transfer to Alanya. For the return from Alanya to the airport, Alanya: Private VIP Transfer to Gazipaşa Airport is used.

Frequently asked questions

How long does the transfer from Antalya Airport to Belek take?

Without traffic it takes about 35–45 minutes. Belek is much closer to the airport than Alanya, and you travel east along the D400 to get there.

Why does the shuttle service take longer than a private vehicle on a package holiday?

The shuttle bus usually stops at several hotels and drops passengers off one after another. That is why the journey to Alanya can take up to 3 hours. In a private transfer, the vehicle goes directly to your hotel.

Is it safe to go to Alanya if I arrive late at night?

The D400 is a road used at night too, with lighting and traffic. Because traffic decreases at night, the journey may be slightly shorter. If your flight is delayed, let the transfer company know in advance.

Which airport is better for Alanya: Antalya or Gazipaşa?

Gazipaşa is about an hour from Alanya, but flight options are limited. Antalya has a greater variety of flights, but the road takes 2–2.5 hours. Decide based on your own flight time and how much time you have in your budget.
